Shelif the Wolf had been given an unusual request. Summoned by the King he was bidden to escort the Kings hellion of a niece to his brother’s keep for protection and “taming.” A great beauty she was admired by all and had many suitors but none could stomach her wild ways and savage disposition. Shelif after an arduous journey delivers Aleash to his brother the Scorpion. He locks her in a storage room under the dungeon to keep her from escaping. He is later awakened abruptly by her attempted escape. He comes upon her dressed in stockings and a tunic brandishing a rusty sword. Swinging wildly, she nicks the throat of a nearby guard. The Scorpion walks through the door and is immediately enamored by her sensual derriere prominently displayed through the folds of the tunic. She leaps to a table to keep her eyes on both the brothers who are her captors and now both potential targets. The scorpion engages her in some delightful sensual banter, steps forward and sweeps her into his arms savagely and plans to bed her right then. Shelif interrupts his plans, with an urgent need to fill his brother in on the royal identity of his new guest. Aleash gets locked back in the dungeon storeroom, now ablaze with the promise of warming the Scorpions bed later that evening. The Scorpion is enamored and cannot be more pleased with his feisty new play toy.
This book is intensely romantic and extremely sensual. The love scenes are extremely well written with passion, seduction, and leave nothing to the imagination. The characters are larger than life with rich personalities that leap off the page. The story is fast paced but intermingled with intelligent banter that will leave you smiling right into the next steamy escapade. An excellent read.
