While reading The Witches Forest, there is a great vividness of character descriptions. He has the power to make you feel like you are fighting the monsters right along with the main characters. Each time one comes along you feel the same sense of apprehension that the characters feel. I love the little guy named Check, he’s an inquisitive little lizard and manages to give them a heads up when he sees something that they didn’t. He also gets excited every time there is something new to look at.
The story has a strong plot line that keeps you turning pages right till the end. The story has the power to take hold of your imagination and run wild with it. You wonder what will be in the works next. Where will this path lead them, will it be back the way they came or to their destination. Each creature has its own uniqueness about it, you can get the feel of what they feel as you read. It pulls you in and makes you feel like one of the gang. I hope to see more books by this author, they have a real talent in hooking you into the story and keeping it going.
