Have you ever found that your dog isn’t always following your commands?  Tends to be uncontrollable when it’s least convenient? Always jumping up on your guests? In The Monks of New Skete Divine Canine, the brothers show you a way to communicate with your dog without really being mean. They show you how to get your dog to listen and follow your commands. While showing the dog that you love and care about them at the same time.

Each animal in the book has different difficulties but each one has a couple similar issues with the basic commands. Using the monk’s way both sides need to understand the change. It will be work to continue with their method to keep the dog from reverting. But inside is still the same dog you know an love, just now realizes where they are in the pack. Knowing that you need to remember that in a way they have their thoughts to, and you need to be firm with them but yet praise them when they get it right. Loving them doesn’t mean you can’t be firm, just need to stand your ground even if it seems really hard to do. It will make them understand and will be stronger for it. So if anyone’s looking to find a way to work with their dog they should read The Monk’s of New Skete’s Divine Canine, just might expand your horizons.
