Bob Gebelein’s story resembles that of many of us. Brought up to value the material, Bob just couldn’t quite find his place in life. His high priced education adequately prepared him for getting a job and understanding the scientific world. Unfortunately, something seemed like it was missing.
Feeling inadequate and “broken”, Bob began seeing a therapist. Here he learned that the study of the mind was packaged in neat tidy little bundles. Anything that didn’t fit was quickly written off as new age mumbo jumbo.
So began, a questioning process that eventually culminated into The Mental Environment. It’s a thought provoking book that asks the reader to look beyond the so-called objective, believe in their own experiences, and above all think for themselves. Labels aren’t really doing the world much good. Perhaps it’s time we treid something a little different.
