Non-Fiction, True Crime
Reviewed by Dr. Tami Brady

The Eyes of a Stranger is based upon the true events surrounding serial killer Stephen Peter Morin. This chameleon stalker was wanted in eight states and linked to the deaths of 37 women and teenage girls. For author Carrie Frederickson, the story is personal.

Tara Lea McGreedy was a nineteen year old single mother trying to make a better life for herself and her three young daughters. For a time, it seemed like everything was going well. Tara enjoyed her job and had even got a promotion. She had good friends.  The kids were happy. Life was good.

Then, tragedy struck. Tara friend Cheryl Daniel suddenly went missing. The strangest thing was that this woman had been dating a mister wonderful who she’d recently found out was married. At the time, no one knew that this boyfriend was actually serial killer Stephen Peter Morin. Everyone simply assumed that the two lovers had run off to be together.

After months without any sort of word about Cheryl, the police found out the truth. Cheryl had been raped and brutally murdered. Moreover, Morin had his next target picked out. That individual was Tara Lea McGreedy. Absolutely chilling!
