A Monster Misunderstanding
Jill Kuczmarski

ISBN: 1-59152-041-X
Fiction, Children’s Picture Book
Reviewed by Tami Brady

Making new friends is often difficult. This was especially true for Happy the Hodag. Hodags may look mean and frightening with their big teeth and green fur but underneath all Happy wanted was a friend.

Buddy the Bulldog had been warned about Hodags. His mother told him that little bulldogs were the favorite foods of these horrible creatures. Imagine Buddy’s surprise (and terror) when he came face to face with Happy.

A Monster Misunderstanding reminds us all that appearances can be deceiving. In order to have a friend we have to be willing to be a friend. I look forward to more adventures from Happy and Buddy.
