If you were given the chance to choose your next life who would you be? Would you choose to be rich, a life that is also devoid of real love? Would you choose a long spiritual life which never seems to bring much more than the necessities of life? Would you choose a short life filled with love and devotion that ends in horrible loss and suicide?
Honeycomb is the story of one individual who is given the unique gift of choosing his next life. From all the countless possibilities, he is asked to choose five scrolls. Within these scrolls are all the information pertaining to each possible life. The individual is given a review, a short snapshot of each life, in order to make his decision.
I really liked the concept of Honeycomb. The options were realistic with each existence having real life challenges and the characters having personalities that we can all relate to in some way. The best part, in my opinion, was that the randomly selected possibilities all had direct or indirect interconnections. The explanation is absolutely thought provoking.
