This book was full of mystery and twists and turns when you would least expect them. It begins with two men telling tales to each other over a fire. The first man tells the story of two brothers (princes), their father (king), and their kingdom, Glacia. This story has touches of humor without losing the seriousness of the problems the characters face and as with all fairy tales, there is a happy ending.

The second story is a story about the fight between light and dark. It tells the story of Myree, a young overly protected by her father and abused by her stepmother Nadina, and Connair, the beautiful young Prince Connair who comes to save her. It takes place in Summersong, where magic and mortal cross. This story seems like the ordinary fairy tale, but it is filled with unforeseen surprises that make the story interesting.

It was an amazing book, fun and easy to read.
