David was told that this mission would be of the utmost importance. His task: to make contact with the elders of this planet. With his special skills, he could bring balance back to these individuals.
Right from the very start, the mission’s objectives seemed doomed. This planet was stuck in the middle ages. There was no sign of anyone who’d have the technology or greater learning of any sort of Elders.
Then, a dragon showed up. Given the choice between quietly continuing his mission and saving a young maiden from a horrible death, David did the honorable thing. Before he could blink an eye, the townspeople had decided that he was the warrior that had been foretold, the savoir that would save them all from the dragons.
Don’t let the dragons fool you, this book is all science fiction. It’s been a while since I read anything as original and thought provoking as The Fifth Dimension.
