The Five Tibetans are a series of five yoga exercises that were brought to the West by a retired British army officer. Quite by fate, he studied for nine months with a high lama in Tibet, where these secret practices were disclosed to him. The author Christopher Kilham came to work at the spiritual retreat center, Mentalphysics at Joshua Tree, California. He was introduced to these five powerful exercises that stimulate the chakras to generate vital energy for self-transformation. Over time these five exercises combined with breath techniques can increase physical strength, suppleness, and mental alertness. The beauty of these exercises is that they are so simple and take a minimal amount of time to perform each day. They benefit the cardiovascular system, nervous system, and rebalance the chakra system. The practice of these exercises is so gentle that anyone of any age can gain great benefits from using them. The author has been practicing yoga, meditation, and health for over twenty years. This book is packed full of expert information on: energy, the body mind, chakras, breathing, kundalini meditation, and Yoganidra, which are deep relaxation exercises for stress relief. The photographs and instructions for each exercise are clear, concise and easy to understand. There is a wealth of information and advice from many years of teaching and personal experiences. It is an excellent book and the exercises are a wonderful way to start and end your day.
