Trying to stay on her deadline for her next book while mending a broken heart, Sarah has decided that a clean break to London is the best thing for her. Hidden inside a stately and historic chateau in the middle of France, she meets her mysterious and sexy neighbor Karl. While she finds herself lusting over this gorgeous speciman, her thoughts are often wondering about another beautiful man she senses from the dark corners. Overcome with sexual fantasies for the man she reads about in the old journals she finds in the locked up part of the mansion, she finds herself falling slowly in love with the face behind the picture. While she momentarily indulges with some passionate and wild pleasure with Karl, she realizes that the true love of her lifetime is Drago. Convinced that life cannot ever be the same without her, even in his immortal state, Drago brings her into his world.
While short, this story is certainly sweet. One can feel the pain Sarah feels with the betrayal of her ex but at the same time and rejoice in her newfound independence and freedom to love another man. The action is contagious and one cannot help but be lured by the pleasureable passion between Sarah and her ghostly Drago. The pace is good and the storyline keeps the reader intrigued.
